As an individual, joining your chosen Institution(s) at a suitable initial Membership grade e.g., ‘Student,’ ‘Graduate,’ ‘Affiliate’ etc. (i.e., where post-nominal titles are not typically awarded) – is a great first step towards achieving Professional Qualifications.

As a professional working in the world of Engineering, there are several Professional Engineering Institutions (AKA Professional Body) to choose from based on your academic background, your field of work, and your future goals.
Which Professional Institution?
Typically, Engineers and Technicians are Professionally Registered for Chartered Engineer (CEng); Incorporated Engineer Incorporated_Engineer(IEng); Engineering Technician (EngTech), or ICT Technician (ICTTech)) by the Engineering Council UK (ECUK) – through one of the following licensed Engineering Institutions:
